Thankfully, not every filmmaker in Hollywood got the memo that there’s only one way to make money in this town — by rehashing something that’s come before it. Thus, in 2020, a collection of completely original movies will be hitting theaters. As such, like he’s done the last two years, Tim Grierson has put together his very popular shortlist for the most intriguing movies of 2020 that aren’t based on anything (comic books, regular old books, life stories, old movies, etc.), and I’m not gonna lie, they all look like bangers.
