Peak-Jersey Nostalgia at SopranosCon, Claire Saffitz Stans and the Brave Wives of No Nut November
Is it possible to feel homesickness-by-proxy? That’s the question I’ve been asking myself since I read Miles Klee’s gonzo recap of his past weekend at SopranosCon, the Sopranos fan festival in North Jersey, his former stomping grounds. I’m not even from Jersey — I’m a Massachusetts girl. But while the piece is dressed up as a beat-by-beat report of the con itself, it’s really more of a nostalgic love letter to Klee’s home state, and it hit me right in the feels.
