A History of the Richard Gere Gerbil Rumor, Teens on ‘Mayo’ Pete and a Painful Interview with Pedro Almodóvar

How does one get a gerbil up their ass, ya think? That’s always been one thing I’ve never quite understood about the Richard Gere gerbil rumor. I mean, I get that it’s possible to insert a furry-faced rodent up one’s ass — I dated a doctor once, and if there’s one thing you learn when you ask them about their day, it’s that people looooove to stick seemingly impossible objects deep into their guts — I just don’t understand how you do so without things turning bite-y, or worse, dead-y.

Anyway, kudos to the actor for having a significantly more enlightened reaction to the rumor over the years than I clearly do.
